PDF help

Accessing PDF files

To access PDF files you need Adobe Acrobat Reader® installed on your computer. This free document reader is available from Adobe's web site. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader® installed on your computer and would like to install it, go to the Adobe Acrobat Reader download site.

Adobe also provides a free patch to render 'Acrobat Reader' compatible with a range of screen readers (Microsoft Windows only), that make PDF files accessible to the blind and vision impaired. Further information on Adobe Acrobat® solutions for accessibility is available on this web site.

Printing PDF files

If you are unable to print PDF files;

  1. Select your system's "Print" option
  2. Select "Print as image".

Saving a copy of a PDF file

  1. Using your right button, click on the link to the PDF file, and select "Save Target As"; or
  2. If viewing PDF in Acrobat Reader, click on the "Saves a copy of the file" button in the top left hand corner of your browser.

Refreshing PDF file

Select [Ctrl] and Refresh to refresh PDF files.

Viewing landscape pages

To view landscape pages as portrait, select "Rotate View Clockwise" in the top right hand corner of Adobe Acrobat.
